July 29, 2026 — As part of the ongoing promotion of the “International Decade of Action for Cryospheric Sciences, 2025–2034,” a scientific and theoretical seminar titled “Water Isotope Analysis Using the Picarro L2140-i Analyzer” was held in the conference hall of the Institute of Glaciology and Cryosphere of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (NAST), gathering scientists and specialists. The presentation by researcher Sakina Mamadshozoda focused on the application of stable water isotopes in glaciological and water resource studies.
Objectives
The primary objective of the seminar was to enhance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of research staff on the use of stable water isotopes for:
