On June 24, 2022, a solemn event was held at the State Scientific Institution “Center for the Study of Glaciers of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan” with the participation of all employees dedicated to the 25th anniversary of National Unity. The event was opened by the Director of the Center, Professor Abdulkhamid Kayumov, who noted that National Unity, as a unifying factor, using primordial and world values ​​to improve living standards and prosperity, laid a solid foundation for the formation of civil society in the country in order to create a favorable basis for future independent state.

Due to the independence and courage of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, as well as the signing of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Mutual Understanding, the concept of national unity and national reconciliation has become widespread. Therefore, we should all strive for the prosperity of our beloved country.

The initiatives, noble appeals of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation through the influential tribunes of the world, including the United Nations, in the field of water resources, in recent years, have been well received, and decades of clean water have been proclaimed around the world (2005-2015) and water for sustainable development (2018-2028).

The creation of the Center for the Study of Glaciers at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, as well as the noble initiatives for the global protection of glaciers, the values ​​of clean water and other high-level initiatives, have further strengthened the image of Tajikistan, and all these achievements are our common heritage.

During the event, the senior researcher of the Center, Saidbek Goziev, spoke on the topic “National Unity is a fundamental factor in new achievements”, noting that thanks to peace, national unity and mutual understanding, our country was able to overcome all difficulties without any obstacles.

It was also noted that due to the initiatives of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon and the achievements of National Unity, the creation of the Center for the Study of Glaciers of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan became possible.

Researcher of the Center Dilbar Kamolova made a presentation “Unity is a solid foundation of the nation” and noted that thanks to peace and unity in the State Scientific Institution “Center for the Study of Glaciers of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan”, along with men, women take an active part in fundamental research and scientific expeditions.

It was also noted that all the achievements of women in the field of glacier studies became possible thanks to the support of the Government and National Unity, as the country’s leadership always supports women’s initiatives and attracts them to higher positions.

At the end of the event, the director of the institution, Professor Abdulkhamid Kayumov, congratulated all those present on the 25th anniversary of National Unity and said that “Let peace, tranquility, unity and solidarity triumph forever in our country.”
